The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, Luxembourgs’ first hotel in terms of number of rooms, has announced the renovation of a third of the hotel’s rooms and unique panoramic conference facility overlooking Luxembourg-city and Kirchberg, investing €6 million for the project.

Located in Luxembourg-Dommeldange, the hotel is close to both the city centre and Luxembourg’s financial, commercial and diplomatic district, catering for both business and leisure tourists.

Tourism represents 6.5% of GDP in Luxembourg's economy. Business tourism, including conventions and international conferences, has become particularly important in the last few years and is constantly evolving in terms of bookings, according to the national MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses, Events) industry.

DTH has invested €6 million for the renovation of 110 rooms out of a total of 345 - conference rooms, the opening of a new restaurant on the 1st floor and the famous 180° panoramic conference room located on the top floor of the building, offering an ideal venue for family gatherings. With 16 meeting rooms and one Ballroom, the event facilities can accommodate up to 300 delegates and is ideal for residential conferences. Furthermore, the hotel has created a new room type with a fully equipped kitchenette and living room to accommodate long stay guests relocating to Luxembourg or often working on a project.
 
Built in 1985, the 4 star hotel was refurbished in 2013. At that time 235 rooms were renovated. The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel has gained a new sober, modern and elegant style.
