Shortly after 11:00 on Monday 6 October 2025, the CFL announced that trains on the Kautenbach–Wiltz line are currently disrupted due to the discovery of a Second World War bomb near Merkholtz.

According to the CFL, trains running in both directions between Kautenbach and Wiltz are affected.

The CFL noted the bomb disposal team is currently on site and at present no information is available regarding the resumption of train services.

The CFL asks passengers to use the following bus services between Kautenbach and Wiltz for their journeys:

• Bus 130: Wiltz, Lann – Ettelbrück, Bus Station

• Bus 147: Wiltz, Lann – Goebelsmühle, at the Station

• Bus 146: Wiltz, Lann – Kautenbach, at the Station

• Bus 143: Wiltz, Lann – Wilwerwiltz, Bei der Barriär – Drauffelt, Park & Rail

• Bus 144: Wiltz, Lann – Wilwerwiltz, Station

• Bus 160: Wiltz, Lann – Clervaux, Station/Lycée

• Bus 140: Wiltz, Station – Troisvierges, Station

Update: The CFL has announced it has implimented a replacement bus service to provide a direct connection between Kautenbach and Wiltz in both directions.
