Shortly after 12:40 on Monday 15 September 2025, Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, reported that trains on the Kautenbach–Wiltz line are currently disrupted due to a technical fault.
According to the CFL, the technical fault occurred due to damaged caused to the overhead lines by a fallen tree, which prevented trains from running in both directions between Kautenbach and Wiltz.
Maintenance teams are currently on-site to assess and fix the problem.
Update: The CFL has since confirmed that the train services on the line will gradually resume from 19:16.
Following the gradual resumption of service, some delays and cancellations may still occur until everything returns to normal.
Until the service resumes, passengers can continue their journey using the replacement bus service operating between Kautenbach and Wiltz stations.
Further information on alternative services and timetables is available on the CFL mobile application or the timetable search on the website www.cfl.lu.
