PCG Buren, a local political party from the Netherlands, has reported that it paid an official working visit to the Chamber of Deputies (Luxembourg's parliament) in Luxembourg City on Wednesday 15 October 2025.

According to PCG Buren, the visit focused on promoting the Rivierenland region, the fruit sector and local products from the municipality of Buren.

During the promotional visit, the delegation met with Luxembourg MP Paul Galles and representatives of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) faction to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the areas of agriculture, tourism and entrepreneurship.

The delegation was also welcomed at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador to Luxembourg, Carin Lobbezoo, where discussions continued over lunch about potential opportunities in Luxembourg for entrepreneurs from the municipality of Buren.

"It is important that we actively promote our local entrepreneurs abroad," said Harry Koning, delegation leader for PCG Buren. "By building partnerships with international counterparts, we can open up new markets for our regional products and strengthen the position of our municipality."

The delegation invited the CSV faction to pay a return visit to Buren in the Netherlands. PCG Buren added that the newly established contacts and opportunities would be further developed in the coming months, with the aim of supporting local entrepreneurs in pursuing their international ambitions.

This visit follows earlier meetings in Vianden and Echternach, and reportedly forms part of PCG Buren's broader commitment to positioning the municipality of Buren as a strong and enterprising region both within and beyond Dutch borders.
