Jean-Claude Juncker Meets Gilles Roth, Past and Present Ministers of Finance

On Friday 22 December 2023, Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance reported that Jean-Claude Juncker, Honorary Minister of State, former Minister of Finance of Luxembourg and former President of the European Commission, was welcomed by the current Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth for an exchange of views on political news.

At the end of the meeting, Jean-Claude Juncker declared “I reiterate my congratulations to Mr Roth on his appointment as Minister of Finance of Luxembourg.”

Minister Roth said “Mr Juncker marked an entire political era at both European and national level and led the country through multiple crises with a calm but determined hand. Throughout all these years, he has always been able to provide me with valuable advice. I am also counting on him in the future.”
