Change for Luxembourg, a local grassroots participation movement, has announced the upcoming launch of the "More in 24" initiative in the Grand Duchy at an event at Meliá Luxembourg hotel (Picasso Room) in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Wednesday 15 November 2023 at 18:40.

The More in 24 initiative, spearheaded by the European Youth Card Association (EYCA) and supported by the European Parliament, aims to foster widespread participation in the European Elections in 2024.

The inaugural event in Luxembourg, organised in collaboration with Change for Luxembourg, will comprise short talks and insights in under fifteen minutes, giving attendees the opportunity to exchange afterwards.

Attendees can learn about More in 24 and Change for Luxembourg, while connecting with "like-minded individuals committed to bolstering voter engagement" and meeting with some of Luxembourg's MEPs, noted the organisers.

More in 24 Luxembourg is guided by volunteer changemakers Tommy Jack and Sam Elsey. The initiative is dedicated to forging closer ties between Luxembourg's youth and topics such as youth engagement, voter participation and the European Union. This mission will be realised through visits to educational and corporate institutions, a social media campaign, collaborations across Europe and various other events and initiatives.

"This launch marks a pivotal moment in empowering our diverse communities in Luxembourg to drive change. We're excited to unite passionate individuals and organisations to amplify participation in the EU Elections, and we're beyond excited to be introducing More in 24 Luxembourg to the public," said Christos Floros (Change for Luxembourg), one of the event’s organisers.

Entry is free and registration is possible via Eventzilla. Interested individuals are also free to turn up even if they are not registered. Further details are available on the Facebook event page.
