Another round of swearing-in ceremonies for Luxembourg's newly appointed mayors and aldermen/alderwomen took place on Thursday 6 July 2023.
On Thursday, Luxembourg's Minister for Home Affairs, Taina Bofferding, swore in the colleges of mayors and aldermen/alderwomen of the municipalities of Bettembourg, Contern, Grevenmacher, Habscht, Hesperange, Lenningen, Luxembourg, Rumelange, Steinsel and Vianden.
At 10:00, ten mayors and 26 aldermen/alderwomen took the new oath prescribed by Article 6 of the amended municipal law of 13 December 1988 in front of Minister Bofferding: "I swear to observe the Constitution and the laws and to fulfil my function with integrity, exactitude and impartiality."
