Max Hahn Named New Luxembourg Family Affairs Minister

At a press conference on Wednesday 14 June 2023, the Democratic Party (DP) announced that Luxembourg MP Max Hahn would take over as Minister for Family Affairs and Integration.

Max Hahn, who has been a Member of Parliament (Chamber of Deputies) since 2013, will succeed Corinne Cahen as Minister for Family Affairs and Integration.

Corinne Cahen took over the government role in 2013 but is stepping down following her election to the municipal council of the City of Luxembourg.

According to the DP, Max Hahn said: "I approach my new task with the necessary respect and a lot of motivation."

The DP also thanked Corinne Cahen for her "tireless work" over the past ten years.

The handover ceremony is expected to take place on Thursday 15 June 2023.
