Luxembourg non-profit organisation ASTI has announced the launch of a new online tool to raise awareness about the various elections in the Grand Duchy.

LetzVote is an online tool which allows the user to discover the different aspects of national, European and municipal elections through animations, such as a multiple choice quiz and a simulation filling out a ballot. Among other things, the user can learn about the conditions and eligibility for going to vote, the different national, municipal and European competences and how to fill out a ballot.

The website is currently available in French and English, with Luxembourgish, German and Portuguese versions set to follow soon.

LetzVote was largely inspired by the content of the "je vote" (I vote) programme developed in 2012 (no longer in use). The project also includes a communication kit that can be used by other actors of political participation in Luxembourg.

LetzVote is mainly aimed at: new voters, including young people (Luxembourgish and non-Luxembourgish) and people who recently acquired the Luxembourgish nationality; foreign residents who can now register on both the municipal and European electoral rolls; actors of political participation in Luxembourg; teachers of the "Vie & société" ("life and society”) courses; anyone else who would like to learn about and test their knowledge of Luxembourg's electoral system.

LetzVote is a project set up by ASTI and funded by Luxembourg's Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region, as part of the 2022 call for projects of the national integration action plan.
