Luxembourg's Ministry of the Interior has announced the swearing-in of the new mayor and new aldermen of the municipality of Lenningen, located in eastern Luxembourg.

By Grand-Ducal decree of 25 February 2022, Tim Karius was appointed the new mayor of the municipality of Lenningen.

By ministerial decrees of 7 March 2022, Jean-Marie Hermann and Philippe Gengler were appointed aldermen for the municipality.

On Monday afternoon, the new appointees took the following oath, as prescribed by the relevant municipal law, in the presence of Luxembourg's Minister of the Interior, Taina Bofferding:

"I swear loyalty to the Grand Duke, to observe the Constitution and the laws of the country, and to fulfil with zeal, accuracy, integrity and impartiality the functions entrusted to me".
