Luxembourg's Ministry of the Interior has announced the swearing-in of the new mayor and two new aldermen of the municipality of Kayl, located in south-western Luxembourg.

By Grand-Ducal decree of 5 February 2022, Jean Weiler was appointed the new mayor of the municipality of Kayl.

By ministerial decrees of 21 February 2022, José Goncalves and Romain Becker were appointed aldermen for the municipality.

On Monday afternoon, the new appointees took the following oath, as prescribed by the relevant municipal law, in the presence of Luxembourg's Minister of the Interior, Taina Bofferding:

"I swear loyalty to the Grand Duke, to observe the Constitution and the laws of the country, and to fulfil with zeal, accuracy, integrity and impartiality the functions entrusted to me".
