Green Party member Henri Kox was today officially appointed as a new member of the Luxembourg government.

On Friday morning, His Royal Highness the Grand Duke, in the presence of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, swore in Henri Kox as a new member of the government.

Henri Kox will take on the role of Minister of Housing, as well as assuming responsibilities for defence and internal security. He will thus support newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister François Bausch, who remains Minister of Defence, Mobility and Public Works and Internal Security.

This government reshuffle follows former Housing Minister Sam Tanson's assumption of the position of Minister of Justice, replacing Félix Braz who suffered a heart attack in August. Indeed, this morning, the Grand Duke granted honorable resignation to Félix Braz from his role as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice.
