On Thursday 28 March 2019, Luxembourg Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development, Romain Schneider, met with both the Turkish and Dutch ambassadors to the Grand Duchy.

The Luxembourg Agriculture Minister first met with Turkish Ambassador, Her Excellency Fazilet Dağcı Çığlık, to discuss the various fields of agricultural policy. This was considered important owing to Turkey being a significant agricultural power and a pivotal country between Europe and Asia. They also discussed different issues related to current affairs.

On the same day, Romain Schneider also met with the Ambassador of the Netherlands, His Excellency Han-Maurits Schaapveld. The meeting provided an opportunity for an interesting and fruitful exchange of views on a number of topical issues as well as common interests in agriculture. Indeed, Dutch agriculture is today the best performing in the European Union and the Netherlands is the world's second largest exporter of agricultural products.

On both occasions, the respective ambassadors and Minister Schneider welcomed the good relations between Turkey and the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy and agreed to continue regular exchanges.
