At the request of Boris Johnson, the British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, he was in Luxembourg on Monday to meet with Jean Asselborn, Luxembourg's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs.

The ministers discussed the political and economic situation in the United Kingdom, before discussing in depth the negotiations for the withdrawal of Britain from the European Union.

The discussions involving the ministers also made it possible for them to address the major issues of European and international current affairs, notably North Korea and the agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue.
