On Monday 27 January 2025, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture launched a call for projects for the production of a sound recording.

As part of its aid scheme aimed at promoting creation and artistic initiatives in the musical field, the Ministry of Culture is launching a call for projects to financially support studio or live sound recording of any musical genre.

The aid will be allocated for the sound recording of a minimum of six pieces in the development phase, or alternatively, recordings lasting at least 20 minutes. It is
aimed at any professional artist, of Luxembourg nationality, residing in Luxembourg or with strong cultural roots in the Grand Duchy, as well as labels or record companies
in the legal form of SARL/SA. Any grouping of musicians in the form of a band (group), big band, ensemble, orchestra or other eligible musician collectives can also apply.

Particular attention will be paid to the presentation of a structured career development strategy. Professional supervision such as management or the presence of a label/record company will be considered an asset upon request, as will collaborations favouring Luxembourgish actors or professional structures.

The call for projects for the production of a sound recording will be made twice a year. The deadlines for the submission of the complete file are Saturday 15 March 2025 and Monday 15 September 2025.
