Neimenster has announced that it will hosting this year’s Stille Kunst festival on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November.
The Abbaye de Neumünster and Eglise Saint-Jean du Grund will be hosting the third edition of the Stille Kunst festival this weekend. The festival incorporates ancient and contemporary music as well as poetry.
This year, the festival’s theme will be “sleep”, which will be explored through the works of Austrian poet and composer Sophie Reyer, harpsichordist Ewald Demeyere, the ancient music ensemble Canto LX and the contemporary music ensemble United instruments of Lucilin. There will also be an evening recital of Bach’s famous Variations Goldberg on 5 November in the cloister.
On Saturday 5 November 2016, Bach’s Variations Goldberg will be performed along with a recital by Ewald Demeyere in the abbey’s Lucien Wercollier cloister from 20:00. On Sunday 6 November, there will be CantoLX will perform in Eglise Saint-Jean du Grund from 11:00. Later in the day, there will be performances by United Instruments of Lucilin and Sophie Reyer in Salle Robert Krieps between 14:00 and 17:00.
The entrance fee is €15 or €8 for under 26’s per concert, or €1.50 with the Kulturpas. For a Festival-Pass for all of the concerts, the price is €30. Ticket reservations can be made at www.neimenster.lu or on +352 262 052 444.
