On Thursday 29 Otober 2015, award-winning singer Adrienne Haan will be in New York to perform at the renowned concert venue Carnegie Hall.

A Luxembourg and German citizen alike, Adrienne Haan represents one of Europe and America's most electrifying concert and cabaret stars, and has been hailed as "an all-round entertainer of the highest calibre". She will be making her debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall as part of the 'Tehorah' programme celebrating the 50th anniversary of German/Israeli diplomatic relations.

'Tehorah', meaning 'pure' in Hebrew, will feature music of 1920s Weimar Berlin, klezmer and contemporary hebrew songs sung in German, Yiddish and Hebrew. Through a collaboration of German and Israeli artists, the concert will aim to promote a message of hope and forgiveness through music as an ambassador of peace.

'Tehorah' is presented by Jospeh Barry, Robert R. Blume and Ilona Oltuski, with patrons including HE Dr. Harald Braun and HE Ron Prosor, Germand and Israeli Ambassadors to the United Nations, respectively, as well as Rabbi Arthur Schneier.

"I created this programme to share a sense of love, hope and forgiveness to the tragic experiences of war and loss," commented Adrienne Haan. "It is my hope that 'Tehorah' [...] will help build musical bridges and sincere understanding".

Adrienne Haan has performed with the Cologne Philharmonic, Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, Northwest German Philharmonic, Frankfurt Symphony, WDR Symphony, WDR Big Band, and Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks among others. Although she holds a diverse repertoire ranging from chanson to jazz, blues, klezmer and Broadway, the music of the 1920s and 30s holds a special place in Haan's heart.

Recent and upcoming engagements include her debut with the Jerusalem Symphony and The Israel Netanya Orchestra, as well as a US tour with the Berlin Capital Dance Orchestra, and an appearance with the WDR Funkhausorchester.
