To mark the reopening of the Wiltheim wing of the Musée National d'Histoire et d'Art (MNHA), POST Philately has created a series of stamps based on a design by Serge Weis.
The stamps illustrate the modern buildings of the MNHA, as well as two iconic objects from the Decorative and Popular Arts collection, includng a silver Luxembourg teabox from JM Kutzer, and an Art Deco style Helios sculpture from Villeroy & Boch.
MNHA visitors can buy these special edition stamps from the museum shop at €2.95 for the set of three. The stamp depicting the building, based on the drawing by Serge Weis, is in the running for the most beautiful stamp at the Small European Postal Administration Cooperations (SEPAC) 2015 contest. Those interested are able to vote until 31 December 2015, with a chance of winning annual collections of all the SEPAC participants.
