On Wednesday 12 November 2025, the Luxembourg Administration of Bridges and Roads announced it will renew the road surface at the Croix de Cessange from Saturday 15 to Monday 17 November.
According to the administration, the works will begin on Saturday 15 November at approximately 21:00 and will finish on Monday 17 November at approximately 02:00. During the works, part of the Croix de Cessange will be closed and a diversion will be put in place.
The following slip roads will be closed:
• The A4 slip road towards Luxembourg leading to the A6 towards Croix de Gasperich
• The A4 slip road towards Luxembourg leading to the A6 towards Belgium
• The A4 slip road towards Esch-sur-Alzette leading to the A6 towards Croix de Gasperich
The administration said that as part of the works, traffic will be diverted from the Croix de Cessange via the A4 towards Luxembourg, the Merl roundabout, the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette, the Croix de Cessange, the A6 towards Belgium and the Helfenterbruck interchange.
