The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a "serious" road accident took place on the A6 motorway on Saturday morning.
At around 09:45 on Saturday 13 July 2024, an accident occurred on the A6 in the direction of Arlon.
A three-wheeled vehicle (Piaggio APE Classic 500) loaded with an ice machine and refrigerator was driving on the motorway. Another motorised vehicle was catching up with and crashed into the three-wheeled vehicle from behind. The latter was catapulted into the air upon impact and the driver was thrown out of the vehicle. The driver in question suffered serious injuries and received treatment from an emergency doctor.
The motorway was closed "for a short time" for clean-up work.
