On Thursday 26 May 2022, 129 classic cars participated in the ACL Classic Tour, organised by the Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL).

The cars started their journey from the ACL car park in Bertrange. The first cars departed from 9:00 onwards. After a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the participants were able to be back in-person for the ACL Classic Tour 2022 event.

This is our third participation. It's always an opportunity to meet new people. In addition, the ACL Classic Tour is a bit like a rolling museum. A real pleasure”, explained Carol, owner of a 1951 Traction, “a car that has always been in the family”.

Along the route through villages, numerous people greeted the passing cars, particularly in Kautenbach, the Asselborn mill, Wemperhardt and Vianden, before finally arriving in Dommeldange. The drivers and crew members were delighted with the approximately 200 km route that had been prepared for them.

It was a great day with some pretty roads to cover,” said Patricia. With her husband Marc and their two dogs, they lit up the ACL Classic Tour with their Rolls Royce Silvercloud I. "The car got a little hot but nothing serious", smiled Marc.

At the wheel of their Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, Anthony and Etienne took part in the ACL Classic Tour for the first time. “We will start again next year, but with another car,” they said when cutting their imposing V12 engine.

Fans of vintage mechanics will meet on Saturday 24 September 2022 for the second edition of "Oldtimermaart" organised by the ACL. This second-hand market dedicated to historic and collector's vehicles, unique in its kin,d allows sellers and buyers to meet directly and without having to pay intermediary fees while sharing between enthusiasts.
