On the occasion of the 58th edition of the "Autofestival" automobile festival, which is taking place from 24 January to 5 February 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development has recalled that the financial aid scheme for the purchase of 100% electric vehicles remains unchanged until 31 March 2022.
The so-called "Clever Fueren" financial aid scheme currently in place applies to vehicles ordered no later than 31 March 2022 (the date of the sales contract), respectively electric bicycles and electrically-assisted pedal cycles purchased no later than this date (the date of the paid invoice).
The Luxembourg Government announced plans to extend this aid scheme beyond the first quarter of 2022. A draft Grand-Ducal regulation, defining the conditions and procedures for granting and calculating aid, will be drawn up over the next few days.
