The Grand Ducal Police have reported that around 62 accidents occurred on Luxembourg's roads between Thursday evening and Friday morning.

In many cases, the snow caused road users to lose control of their vehicles, resulting in accidents with material damage. Most of the time, this concerned a slight collision between vehicles, with other drivers losing control of the slippery road surface and colliding with other obstacles, such as road signs, or going into a ditch.

In three cases, five indiviudals suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for a check-up.

With the exception of a few roads, the main traffic axes are expected to have been driven on and salted this morning. Nevertheless, road users are asked to adapt their driving style to winter conditions.
