The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg – VdL) has announced that road surface renewal works will take place on Rue Cents in Luxembourg-Cents from Saturday 27 July 2024 at 06:00 to Sunday 28 July 2024, at 18:00.
These works will involve a number of traffic adaptations as follows: Rue Cents (the section between Rue des Alouettes and Boulevard Charles Simonis, east side) will be closed to all traffic. Rue de Trèves (section between Rue des Alouettes and Boulevard Charles Simonis, west side) will be closed to all traffic. The VdL noted that its traffic service will ensure that appropriate signage is put in place and that the diversion route is clearly marked.
In addition, a number of changes were noted for municipal buses during the duration of the works.
For Lines 7 and 25, in the direction of Cents-Waassertuerm, the stops Cents-Kierch Quai 3, Robert Bruch Quai 1 and Trèves Quai 1 will be removed. Replacement stops will be at Jules Salentiny Quai 1 and a temporary Trèves stop, located on Boulevard Charles Simonis. In the direction of Rue des Pommiers, the stops Trèves Quai 2, Robert Bruch Quai 2 and Cents-Kierch Quai 4 will be removed. Replacement stops will be at a temporary Trèves stop, located in front of houses 33-35 Rue Cents, and Jules Salentiny Quai 2.
Concerning the bus lines 14 and CN1 towards Hamilius, the stops Trèves Quai 2 (L14/CN1), Robert Bruch Quai 3 (L14), Robert Bruch Quai 2 (CN1) and Gabriel de Marie Quai 2 (L14) will be removed. The replacement stop will be at a temporary Trèves stop, located in front of houses 33-35 Rue Cents. Towards Cents-Waassertuerm, the stop Trèves Quai 1 (L14) will be transferred to Boulevard Charles Simonis.
For line 29 towards Gare Centrale, the stops Trèves Quai 2 and Robert Bruch Quai 2 will be removed. The replacement stop will be at a temporary Trèves stop, located in front of houses 33-35 Rue Cents. Towards Cents-Waassertuerm, the stops Robert Bruch Quai 1 and Trèves Quai 1 will be removed. The replacement stop will be at a temporary Trèves stop located on Boulevard Charles Simonis.
In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, the works will be postponed.
