On Tuesday 11 June 2024, flibco.com, Belgium’s main airport transport service provider, headquartered in Luxembourg, announced that the first operational journey for its new international shuttle bus route between Maastricht and Brussels-Charleroi airport, via Liège, is scheduled for Thursday 4 July 2024.
Tickets for this route will go on sale today, on Tuesday 11 June 2024.
This new mobility solution aims to offer residents of, and visitors to, Liège and Maastricht direct access to Brussels-Charleroi airport, making it easier to fly to and from a wide range of international destinations. The service includes up to four pieces of luggage included in the ticket price, flexible ticketing with free cancellation up to six hours before departure and the option to use the ticket for two shuttle busses before and after the one booked. The buses have free Wi-Fi, USB sockets, air conditioning, onboard toilets and “generous legroom”, flibco.com added. The buses aim for punctual departures (with ten per day scheduled, including on weekends and bank holidays) to avoid that travellers miss their flight.
The new bus line will depart at Rue du Plan, next to Liège-Guillemins station in Liège. Ticket prices are from €14.99. The bus stop in Maastricht is the International bus station, near the Maastricht train station, with ticket prices from €15.99.
Paul De Muynck, Director of flibco.com Belgium, expressed excitement about this development: “We are delighted to launch our services to Liège and Maastricht, offering local residents and travellers practical transport solutions for Brussels-Charleroi airport. The Maastricht/Liège - Brussels-Charleroi airport route offers passengers a direct connection to more than 200 destinations, with an impressive number of flights available at affordable prices. This expansion reiterates our commitment to providing reliable, comfortable travel solutions for passengers throughout Belgium and internationally.”
“We are thrilled to be able to offer our passengers more international transport routes via coach to and from our airport, with the help of our partner flibco.com”, added Philippe Verdonck, Chief Executive Officer of Brussels South Charleroi Airport. “Brussels South Charleroi Airport values its loyal customers from France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
