On Thursday 4 December 2025, ParkinsonNet announced that former Luxembourg Minister of the Economy Jeannot Krecké has joined the national care network for people living with Parkinson's disease as a public ambassador.
Jeannot Krecké is now "the face" of ParkinsonNet. Promotional materials featuring the former minister under the slogan "I am in ParkinsonNet - and you?" aim to encourage people affected by Parkinson's to join the network, which provides specialised care via specifically trained professionals based on the latest scientific developments.
"ParkinsonNet has created something that did not exist before in the context of treating this disease. That is precisely why it is so valuable. I must say, the results that have come out of it are simply amazing for me personally, and I am glad that something like this exists!" said Jeannot Krecké, who served as Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy and Foreign Trade from 2004 to 2012, and additionally as Minister for Sport from 2004 to 2009. In February 2025, he revealed that he is living with Parkinson's disease.
The Réseau de compétences maladies neurodégénératives - ParkinsonNet Luxembourg is a nationwide care network for people with Parkinson's, connecting patients with specialists, therapists and other healthcare providers supported by the National Health Fund (CNS) and the Ministry of Health. It is a joint effort by all hospitals in Luxembourg, coordinated by the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) in collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH).
