Luxembourg's Ministry of State and the Ministry of Health have announced that all children aged 5 to 11 now have the opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

From Thursday 23 December 2021, children aged 5 to 11 can get the jab voluntarily in one of the following vaccination centres: Hall Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, Maison des matériaux / Bâtiment Nord in Esch-Belval or Sports Hall CHNP in Ettelbruck.

Children cannot get vaccinated in pop-up vaccination centres.

Children must be accompanied by a legal representative.

Children will be vaccinated with the Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech. The dose prescribed for children aged 5 to 11 is lower (with an adapted dosage of 10 µg) than that recommended for children aged 12 and over, i.e. one-third of the dose will be given to children.

Appointments can be made on www.impfen.lu using the child's social security card number.

Vaccination may also be performed by certain paediatricians. A list of paediatricians participating in the vaccination of children will be published shortly on the above website.
