On Friday 3 December 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 438 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 880 fatalities (one new death since Thursday) resulting from the virus to date.

438 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Friday from a total of 5,009 tests carried out the day before, representing 69.01 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 8.74%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 263.29. 

A total of 66 people are in hospital with the virus, including seventeen patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 5,060 active infections known, whilst a total of 84,834 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.13.

A total of 926,260 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (448,022 first doses, 391,705 second doses, 86,533 additional doses). A total of 432,001 people are now fully vaccinated.
