Luxembourg's Ministry of State and the Ministry of Health have announced that COVID-19 booster vaccine doses are now available by appointment only.

From Wednesday 1 December 2021, booster jabs can only be administered by appointment in one of the country's three vaccination centres, located at the Victor Hugo Hall in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, in Esch-Belval and in Ettelbruck.

Eligible adults are advised to wait for their invitation from the Luxembourg government to arrive in the post. These letters describe in detail the procedures to be followed.

Anyone who has received two doses of the Moderna or BioNTech-Pfizer vaccines is eligible to receive a third dose six months after a complete vaccination schedule. Those who received two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine can get their booster jab four months after being fully vaccinated. Individuals who received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine can get their booster jab one month after a complete vaccination schedule.

In the three vaccination centres, only first doses can be administered without an appointment.
