On Tuesday 28 September 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 68 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 835 fatalities (no new deaths since 22 September) resulting from the virus to date.

68 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 1,753 tests carried out the day before, representing 10.71 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 3.88%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 60.86. 

A total of 22 people are in hospital with the virus, including nine patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 1,131 active infections known, whilst a total of 76,032 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.04.

A total of 783,957 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (417,992 first doses, 365,965 second doses). A total of 403,502 people are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
