On Monday 27 September 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported seven new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 835 fatalities (no new deaths over the weekend) resulting from the virus to date.

Seven Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 279 tests carried out the day before, representing 1.10 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.51%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 61.29. 

A total of 20 people are in hospital with the virus, including eight patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 1,069 active infections known, whilst a total of 76,026 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.05.

A total of 783,832 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (417,905 first doses, 365,927 second doses). A total of 403,462 people are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
