On Friday 10 September 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 92 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 834 fatalities (one new death since Thursday) resulting from the virus to date.
92 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Friday from a total of 5,015 tests carried out the day before, representing 14.49 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.83%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 56.29.
A total of 40 people are in hospital with the virus, including ten patients in intensive care.
There are currently 1,124 active infections known, whilst a total of 74,674 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.00.
A total of 771,470 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (411,462 first doses, 360,008 second doses). A total of 396,430 people are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
