CovidCheck.lu App Downloaded 300k Times

Luxembourg's Ministry for Digitalisation announced today that the CovidCheck.lu application has been downloaded almost 300,000 times in the past three months.

Three months after its official launch in June 2021, the CovidCheck.lu app has been downloaded almost 300,000 times. The number of CovidCheck certificates issued in Luxembourg during this period exceeds 1.8 million.

On 10 June 2021, Marc Hansen, Luxembourg's Minister Delegate for Digitalisation, presented the CovidCheck.lu app which verifies the authenticity and validity of EU Digital COVID Certificates according to the rules in place in Luxembourg.

Since 22 July 2021, the application is also able to check the validity of certificates according to the official rules of countries which have published their validation rules so that the CovidCheck.lu app can interpret them.
