On Thursday 29 July 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 70 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 822 fatalities (no new deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.

70 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Thursday from a total of 7,191 tests carried out the day before, representing 11.03 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 0.97%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 52.86. 

A total of 23 people are in hospital with the virus, including three patients in intensive care. 

As per figures from Wednesday 28 July 2021, there are currently 1,250 active infections known, whilst a total of 71,744 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.85.

A total of 698,319 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (391,807 first doses, 306,512 second doses); 673 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 2,744 received their second dose on Wednesday. 339,058 people are now fully vaccinated.
