On Thursday 22 July 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 94 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 821 fatalities (no new deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.

94 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Thursday from a total of 6,247 tests carried out the day before, representing 14.81 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.5%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 65.43. 

A total of seventeen people are in hospital with the virus, including six patients in intensive care. 

As per figures from Wednesday 21 July 2021, there are currently 1,499 active infections known, whilst a total of 70,989 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.94.

A total of 669,767 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (388,566 first doses, 281,201 second doses); 634 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 3,813 received their second dose on Wednesday.
