On Wednesday 21 July 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 141 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 821 fatalities (no new deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.

141 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Wednesday from a total of 6,240 tests carried out the day before, representing 22.21 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.26%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 69.57. 

A total of seventeen people are in hospital with the virus, including six patients in intensive care. 

As per figures from Tuesday 20 July 2021, there are currently 1,602 active infections known, whilst a total of 70,792 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.85.

A total of 665,316 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (387,932 first doses, 277,384 second doses); 929 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 4,518 received their second dose on Tuesday.
