On Tuesday 24 November 2020, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 372 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 283 fatalities (ten more deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.
372 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 9,491 tests carried out the day before, representing 59.41 per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 3.92. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 542.57; the record of 678.57 was set on 3 November 2020.
237 people are in hospital with the virus, including 46 patients in intensive care. As at Monday 23 November, there are currently 9,012 active infections known, whilst a total of 22,189 people have recovered from the virus to date.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg stands at 1.00.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
