Luxembourg's Ministry of Health has confirmed that a fifth person in Luxembourg has been tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus).
In a statement issued on Sunday evening, the ministry also confirmed that the person infected had returned from a stay in Alsace in France. They are currently being treated according to the usual procedure.
The Health Ministry has published a FAQ online at www.gouvernement.lu/coronavirus for general information and preventive measures to adopt. The public can also call the hotline via tel.: 8002-080.
The authorities have also recalled that anyone with symptoms of an infection (cough, fever or respiratory problems) and returning from a risk area should not go to the doctor or to the emergency room, but are encouraged instead to call the above hotline or, in an emergency, tel.: 112. Similarly, they are requested not to visit vulnerable people, i.e. those whose immune systems are weak.
