On Saturday 3 October 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported several burglaries and public order incidents in Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck.
Between 18:50 and 20:50 on Friday 2 October 2026, one or more perpetrators broke into a ground-floor flat on Rue Saint Willibrord in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie by forcing open a window. The Criminal Police's forensic unit attended the scene.
At around 19:15, unknown perpetrators broke into a house on Rue des Aubépines in Luxembourg-Merl by forcing open a tilted glass door.
A few hours later, shortly after midnight, police received a report of an attempted burglary at the neighbouring house. Officers immediately launched a search but did not find any suspects. Police investigations remain ongoing.
Same day at around 23:00 in Ettelbruck, police received an information that a customer had allegedly verbally threatened and spat at the owner of an establishment. The man also allegedly caused a disturbance outside and threw terrace chairs around.
Officers located the man shortly afterwards and noted clear signs of intoxication. According to police, he continuedshouting and could not be calmed down. Following a medical examination, officers placed him in police custody after determining that he posed a danger to himself and others.
In another incident at around 05:00 on Saturday, a person allegedly threw stones at security officers at Luxembourg-Gare. Police said the person continued to cause a disturbance after officers arrived. Officers subsequently placed the individual in police custody. No one sustained injuries.
