The Goethe-Institut and the Institut Pierre Werner (IPW) have announced that they are offering intensive German language courses for young people aged 8 to 16;  the courses take place at Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg-Grund from 24 to 28 August and from 31 August to 4 September 2020.

The aim of these courses is to deepen and improve students' proficiency for the start of the upcoming school year. In role-plays and simulated everyday communication situations, the course participants apply the German language in a fun way during one week. In addition to communicative exercises, the students revise aspects of German grammar said to be difficult as well as comprehension exercises and exercises for written expression that are adapted to the curriculum.

The courses were developed together with German teachers in Luxembourg and lessons are given by a native German-speaking teacher. In order to make the groups as homogeneous as possible, placement tests are carried out in advance by telephone with German teachers from the Goethe-Institute.

The courses will take place either in the morning or in the afternoon. The language levels A2 to C1 are planned. The course fee is €360 per 20 teaching units.

Registration is now open and further information is available at www.goethe.de/luxembourg/cours.
