UEL Announces Leadership Changes

On Tuesday 15 September 2026, the Board of Directors of the Union of Luxembourg Enterprises (Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises - UEL) announced the appointment of Charlotte Junck as Director, effective from Thursday 1 October 2026.

In this role, Charlotte Junck will lead the UEL's services, implement decisions taken by the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and work closely with UEL members, chambers and professional federations, on strategic matters. In particular, she will contribute to developing the UEL's positions in the interests of Luxembourg businesses.

"I would like to thank the Board of Directors for this appointment. It follows on from the work carried out in recent years, with the aim of developing the UEL in response to the transformations facing our businesses and our country. I also intend to work towards constructive social dialogue with all our partners," said Charlotte Junck.

Through this appointment, the Board of Directors sought a profile combining strong legal expertise with proven experience within a Luxembourg company. According to the UEL, her professional background and knowledge of Luxembourg's economic and legal environment will support the organisation in its work and ensure continuity.

Charlotte Junck holds a Master 2 degree in law from the University of Strasbourg and a Master's degree in judicial careers and criminal sciences from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University in France. Since 2017, she has served as Head of Legal at Päiperléck Aides et Soins à Domicile – Résidences Seniors, where she developed expertise particularly in litigation and business law.

Also from Thursday 1 October 2026, Marc Lauer will take up his role as President of the UEL. "With Charlotte Junck as Director, we will promote the UEL's common positions on the main issues, in close coordination with our member organisations, in response to the major challenges shaping Luxembourg's competitiveness and economic and social model," he said.
