On Monday 1 June 2026, Dentons Luxembourg announced the promotion of Olivier Lesage to Partner and David Paiva to Managing Counsel, marking what the international law firm described as a new milestone in its development in the Luxembourg market.
Olivier Lesage has been promoted to Partner in Dentons Luxembourg's Banking and Finance department after fifteen years with the firm. According to Dentons, Olivier Lesage advises corporate groups, financial institutions and investment funds on a wide range of Luxembourg and international transactions, particularly in relation to restructurings, refinancing and leveraged finance.
Dentons noted that Olivier Lesage has extensive experience in banking and finance matters, including fund, real estate and asset financing, pre- and post-acquisition restructurings and reorganisations, as well as Luxembourg and European regulatory issues relating to the financial market. Following his promotion, the Banking and Finance department now comprises two partners, with Olivier Lesage joining Stéphane Hadet, who has led the department for more than twenty-five years.
Stéphane Hadet commented: “Olivier has been a driving force behind the development of our Banking and Finance department for over fifteen years. This promotion recognises not only the work he has done for our clients, but also his active role in training and developing the Luxembourg team.”
In the Corporate and M&A department, David Paiva has been promoted to Managing Counsel, a role in which he supports lead partner Namik Ramić, with whom he has worked for more than ten years. Dentons noted that David Paiva specialises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and related structuring and financing matters.
The firm added that David Paiva regularly advises international groups and private equity funds on acquisitions and other structured transactions, as well as on the implementation of incentive schemes for management teams. He also advises on the structuring of vehicles and provides governance advice to family offices and high-net-worth private clients. According to Dentons, both Olivier Lesage and David Paiva are recognised for their strategic advice to major Luxembourg and international groups.
Martine Gerber-Lemaire, Managing Partner of Dentons Luxembourg, said: “These promotions mark a new stage in Dentons’ development in the Luxembourg market. They come at a time of strong activity in real estate financing, fund financing, cross-border structuring and M&A transactions. They also reflect our ongoing commitment to the professional development of our talent and to creating a positive working environment where everyone can advance their career.”
