On Monday 4 May 2026, Luxembourg-based digital trust services provider LuxTrust announced the appointment of Jacques Thill as Chairman of the Boards of Directors of LuxTrust SA and LuxTrust Development SA.

According to LuxTrust, this appointment reflects the company's "high standards" and "ambition" as it continues to expand its activities and strengthen its position in support of a digital environment "built on trust, sovereignty and resilience". It aligns with a clear objective: "anticipating digital challenges in order to help build a future in which trust becomes a lasting foundation for digital uses, exchanges and interactions".

"At a time when interactions, identities, contracts, data and assets are increasingly digital, expectations in terms of security, compliance, accountability and sovereignty have never been higher," LuxTrust said. "In this rapidly evolving environment, LuxTrust continues to play a structuring role in digital trust, serving individuals, businesses and institutions by securing identities, protecting data and ensuring trusted transactions."

Jacques Thill takes up his position in a context where technological innovation and digital security are "more inseparable than ever". He said: "Digital trust is based above all on security. LuxTrust must continue to strengthen the resilience of its solutions, while innovating in order to anticipate technological developments and support the economy and society as a whole."

The company said the appointment reflects its focus on strong governance "capable of supporting the next phases of growth" and "sustaining innovation in a sector that has become central to Europe’s digital economy."

Jacques Thill brings extensive experience at the intersection of public policy, the digital economy and transformation. Since March 2025, he has served as government advisor in the office of Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, where he coordinates the development and implementation of policies relating to the digital economy and space policy. He also serves as Chairman of the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) and was Chairman of the Board of Directors of LuxConnect SA from 2022 to 2025.

LuxTrust said his appointment brings "strategic vision", "strong governance experience" and "a sharp understanding" of issues related to innovation, digital sovereignty and value creation in demanding environments.

The company also thanked outgoing chairman Serge Allegrezza for "his commitment, his availability and the high-quality contribution" throughout his term.
