On Wednesday 14 January 2026, the Marshalcy of the Grand Ducal Court (Maréchalat de la Cour) announced a new nomination for the role of Chaplain of the Court.
The Marshal of the Court confirmed that Canon Nicolas Wenner has been appointed Chaplain of the Court. He succeeds Canon Francois Muller, who has been granted the title of Honorary Chaplain of the Court.
Canon Nicolas Wenner continues to practise his duties within the Grand Ducal Police and the Luxembourg Army as Lieutenant Colonel and Chaplain General of public force.
The Marshalcy of the Court is the administrative body of the Grand Ducal Court, headed by the Marshal of the Court, who is responsible for managing the Grand Ducal household and the orders of chivalry.
