From 2018 to 2024, he served as director and chairman of the executive committee of the Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises (UEL). Since May 2024, Jean-Paul Olinger has held the position of director at the Luxembourg Inland Revenue (Administration des Contributions Directes - ACD).
The ministry recalled that Jean-Paul Olinger has been a member of several boards of directors, including those of the National Health Fund (CNS), the National Pension Insurance Fund (CNAP), the Joint Compensation Fund (Fonds de Compensation) for the general pension scheme and the Employers' Mutual Insurance Scheme, where he served as Chairman of the Board from 2018 to 2024. He was also a board member of the Philharmonie Luxembourg from 2022 to 2024.
Minister Thill stated: "The appointment of Jean-Paul Olinger as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mudam is a key decision for the museum. With his expertise and experience in numerous Luxembourg institutions, he will bring an enlightened vision that will help meet the challenges and consolidate Mudam's role in the cultural landscape."
Jean-Paul Olinger commented: "It is with great joy and a deep sense of responsibility that I accept this new challenge. Mudam plays an essential role in promoting contemporary art in Luxembourg and internationally. I look forward to working with the members of the board of directors and the museum team to continue its development and further expand its reach."
