Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour has announced that the minimum wage will increase from Wednesday 1 January 2025.
In application of Article L. 223-1 of the Labour Code, the rate of the monthly minimum social wage is being adapted to the application rate 944.43 of the weighted cost of living index from 1 January.
The new minimum social wage for different age groups is as follows (279.30 at index 100):
- 18+ years: €15.2473 hourly, €2,637.79 monthly;
- 17-18 years: €12.1979 hourly, €2,110.23 monthly;
- 15-17 years: €11.4355 hourly; €1,978.34 monthly.
Moreover, the minimum wage for qualified employees (as defined in the provisions of Article L. 222-4 of the Labour Code) will rise to €3,165.35 per month as of 1 January 2025.
