Lidl has announced an innovative approach to hiring for its new store in Mersch, set to open on 26 February 2025.
On 3 and 4 January 2025, the supermarket chain will bring its "Job Bus" to the parking lot of the upcoming store to connect with potential candidates.
This initiative, launched by Lidl to promote local employment, aims to recruit ten new team members for the larger, modern store. During the two-day event, Lidl’s human resources team will be present in the Job Bus to provide information, discuss available positions and conduct interviews with applicants.
Julien Wathieu, spokesperson for Lidl BeLux, highlighted the local focus of the effort: "Choosing this location is no coincidence—it reflects our commitment to fostering local employment. What better way to find qualified staff close to our future centre? We are hopeful that this Job Bus will help us connect with interesting profiles."
The company noted that the new Mersch store will feature an expanded offering, including a wider selection of fresh products.
