G-Media sàrl has announced two staffing appointments: Jazmin Campbell has been appointed administrateur délégué (Managing Director) and Kangkan Halder has joined as Web Journalist.

Jazmin Campbell originates from Northern Ireland and came to the Grand Duchy in 2016 to study at the University of Luxembourg where she gained an MA in European History. During this time, she did an internship for Chronicle.lu and joined its staff as a Journalist in March 2019. From April 2021, Jazmin assumed the mantle of Managing Director.

On her appointment, she stated: "Being part of the G-Media / Chronicle.lu team has been a privilege these past five years. As well as developing my journalistic skills, it has allowed me to meet interesting people from all over the world, enhance my knowledge of all aspects of life in Luxembourg, and really feel at home here. I am excited to take on this new challenge and look forward to working together with my colleagues to shape the future of the company as well as Luxembourg's media landscape”.

From Friday 12 November 2021, Kangkan Halder, joined the company as a Web Journalist to work alongside Jazmin. He originates from India and moved to Europe in 2008, initially to Germany where he was at the University of Konstanz for four years as a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Associate. He spent a further five years at Goettingen as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, including at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. He has lived in Luxembourg for five years, during which time he has established a Facebook group for expatriates which has achieved significant engagement.

On his appointment, Kangkan stated: "I am excited to have this opportunity at Chronicle.lu to bring data and research articles with more visual representations, bring new perspectives and share rational outlook. I hope to bring our readers the latest and important topics from Luxembourg in detail. I am open to suggestions and hope to be at par with our readers best expectations".
