Carlo Thill Appointed Chairman of Cardif Lux Vie Board of Directors

Luxembourg life insurance company Cardif Lux Vie has announced the appointment of Carlo Thill as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In April 2019, Carlo Thill was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cardif Lux Vie, a position he had held already from April 2013 to June 2018. 

Carlo Thill is also a member of the Boards of Directors of BGL BNP Paribas, the Federation of Financial Sector Professionals (PROFIL) and the House of Startups (HoST), as well as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT).

In 1978, Thill joined BGL BNP Paribas, where he worked for 40 years. He spent his first years working in the departments of Leasing, Factoring and Credits before assuming responsibility for the Domestic Credits, Risk Management, Marketing, Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Human Resources and Corporate & IT Planning departments. In 1998, he joined the Executive Committee, of which he became chairman in 2005. From 2013 until July 2018, Carlo Thill was also Country Manager of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg.
