LuxairGroup has announced new appointments within its Executive Committee, following the Board of Directors Meeting last Friday.

Laurent Jossart will take over the function of Executive Vice-President Airline from Martin Isler who will retire from LuxairGroup in March 2020. Martin Isler joined LuxairGroup in 2005 after having served Swiss International Airlines Ltd for over 20 years. From 1 July 2019, he will exclusively focus on his duties as Accountable Manager Airline and continue to lead major in-house projects. 

The responsibility for the Luxair Luxembourg Airlines Business Unit will be handed over to Laurent Jossart on 1 July 2019. Laurent Jossart joined LuxairGroup in 2006 as Executive Vice-President Finance and went on to become Executive Vice-President Cargo Handling in 2014. Before joining LuxairGroup, he worked for City Bird and Virgin Express and was appointed Managing Director of the Brussels South Charleroi Airport in 2002.

Similarly, as of 1 July 2019, newly appointed Executive Vice-President Jean-Paul Gigleux will take over responsibility for the Cargo Handling in addition to the Airport Services and the Ground Equipment. Jean-Paul Gigleux joined LuxairGroup in 2011 as Assistant Vice-President Catering and Ground Equipment after fifteen years at FM Logistics where he filled, among others, the positions of Site Director and Director of Production and Logistics. In January 2016, Jean-Paul Gigleux was promoted to Vice-President Airport Services and Ground Equipment. He then accompanied the steady growth of Luxembourg airport, by optimising organisation to maintain LuxairGroup’s high standards in terms of quality as well as ensuring the safety, security and comfort of people and goods.
